What Are Humidors For?

Cigars need to be kept at a relative humidity of around 65-70% to be at their best. This is because cigars are predominantly produced in countries with high humidity levels, such as Cuba.

If cigars become too dry, they can become brittle and crack and can burn too fast, causing an unpleasant smoking experience. Likewise, if a cigar is too damp, it can cause other burn issues or become mouldy.

Therefore, it is important to have a quality humidor that you maintain to ensure your cigar collection is stored safely and in optimal conditions.

Hygrometers
