Boveda Inc. has patented technology in two-way humidity control which allows for the addition or removal of moisture from products that you store it with. The company teamed up with Xikar to produce a custom made and labelled product for the premium cigar market, available for sale below.
The product uses a blend of salts and water to ensure a stable level of humidity for cigars, pipe tobacco and food. The percentage printed on the packet is the constant humidity level that will be achieved by the product and will continuously be monitored for any fluctuation and adjusted as necessary.
The humidity control will ensure that your cigars’ oils and sugars are retained and will allow them to improve with age. This will mean that when the time comes to take out that special smoke, you can be sure it has been preserved and will taste all the better for it!
