Many cigar smokers opt out of non-Cuban cigars solely based on the fact that they are made in a different country, but here at Havana House, we believe these people are missing out! If we think of fine wines, we have no problem drinking a Merlot from South Africa, Australia or California. Yes, they are different from each other, but they are still delicious and have their own individual nuances and tasting profiles. This applies to cigars as well. Many people will only smoke cigars from Cuba, with many of the finest cigars ever made coming from here, yet there are many fantastic stogies ready to be smoked from Nicaragua, Dominican Republic, Ecuador and Honduras, which all hold their own against the Cuban smokes. Not only does it look super cool, but also offers a delicious tasting profile from the dark, candy cane-style Nicaraguan wrapper interwoven with shamrock-coloured Honduran Candela leaf, an Ecuadoran Sumatra binder and filler leaf from Panama and Honduras.   Davidoff Royal Release Salomones Cigar The Davidoff Royal Release might just be one of the finest cigars created in the last decade. Offered in two-sizes; a Robusto 5 ½” x 55 and Salomones 8 ¼” x 57 and using an exclusive Aromatica Dominicana that is exclusive to the Royal Release. Davidoff used special bales for the project and then allowed the tobacco to age for a minimum of eight years before it was handed over to the eight expert rollers that were assigned to this magnificent cigar. What makes this cigar truly exceptional is the varied and complex tasting notes you experience at different stages of smoking.
